Bradley H. Erickson

Bradley H. Erickson, 67, of Sparta, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 and Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. He was born on July 9, 1949 to Howard and Florene (Buros) Erickson, in Viroqua, WI. 

Brad was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Viroqua. Brad graduated from Viroqua High School. Following high school he attended W.T.C. for welding and graduated in 1977. Brad married Rena Volden on May 20, 1978 at the Little Brown Church in Naushua, Iowa. Brad worked at Northern Engraving in Sparta, for over 40 years. He was the foreman over the Tool and Die repair shop at the Sparta Branch.  Brad enjoyed ice fishing and Nascar racing; he was an avid Matt Kenseth Fan.

Brad is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Rena; his children, Travis (Tina) Erickson, of Sparta; and their children, Natalie, Bella, Courtney, Taylor, McKenzie and Ava; Shannon Erickson, of Viroqua and children Marian, Joshua, Ellen, and Shauna; Chad (Missi) Erickson, of Viroqua, and their children Troy, Starr, Scottie; Jayme Woodhouse, of Sparta, and children, Kurtis, Aubrianna, Gabriel, and Keagan; Richard (Erin) Stout, of  Janesville, and their children, Nathan and Ethan ; Ron (Rachel) Stout, of  Viroqua, and their children Autumn and Logan; 3 great grandsons, Colby, Brantlee, and Elliot.  He is further survived by his sisters, Jackie (Earl) Page, Janesville; Carmen Erickson, Norwalk; Anne Erickson, Viroqua; and Rena (Kevin) Thompson, West Lima; his brothers, Robert (Diane) Erickson, Belle Plaine, MN; Mark (Denise) Erickson, Bluff Siding, WI; and Barry Erickson, Waseca MN; brothers and sisters in law, Darrel, Vivian, Sue, Alice, Deb; and his adopted family, Ron, Tina, Gram Petrick; Ray, Wanda, Lucas, and Adam Marick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Florene; two special nephews, Caleb Erickson of Waseca, MN and Kevin Walker of Janesville.; mother in-law, Hazel Volden; father in-law, Chester Volden; and a brother- in- law, Clayton Volden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Rev. Randy Larson officiating.
