     Dave "TAXI" Treu passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday June 5, 2017, at the age of 53. He was born to Darrell Treu and Paulette Davis on January 7, 1964 in Racine, Wi. Dave grew up around the Monroe County area.

     Dave enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 6 years. He then went to work for Mike Niles, at Scientific Recycling in Holmen, WI. He started as a yardman, then worked his way up to shop manager, giving the Niles Family 30 years of service.

    Dave is survived by his mother Paulette Benoit, a sister Johna (Dale) Hesselberg, brothers Lenny Treu (Lisa); John Benoit; his children, Autumn (Jeremy) Brandau;Storm (Angela) Treu; and Dave Treu JR.; and eight grandchildren, Marley ,Eliza, Phoenix ,Raiden, Willow, Ziva, Beau, and Lucian; And one godchild Brooke. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. 

     Dave is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and several uncles.

    Dave was an avid outdoorsman, but his real passion was Racing. Any track, any car, he loved it all.  He raced many years at Lacrosse speedway, then tried his luck at the Dells Speedway, where he raced until 2014.

     A Celebration of David's Life will be held Monday June 12th, 2017 at Memorial Park Shelter#6, (acrosse from the boys and girls club) from 1pm to 5 pm.
