when the Block Island was sunk the men of the Ahrens went into their lockers and djug out clpthing so us oil soaked guys could dry off and wear warm clean outfits. The fit was not important and they didn't have chance to get clothes back. Bless their hearts! May Frank rest in peace and my sorrow for his loss is real. Louis

Love all the memories of Frank at the Block Island Reunions. He and my dad, Clancy, had many opportunities to reminisce about their experiences on the USS Ahrens. So thankful to have met Frank and to have spent time listening to his stories. He will be missed!
Love to all of your family,
Lori Nichols

Our deepest sympathy to Marge and Liz and their families. I have such awesome memories of Uncle Frank and Auntie Bev. May God lay his healing hands on you. So sorry I can't make the service. Pres is going to archery Nationals with his team and I'm a chaperone.
