Iris A. Chatfield

     Iris Ann Chatfield, 85, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Silver Lake Haven in Wautoma, WI.

     Iris was born on July 24, 1931 in Little Falls, Monroe County, WI to Henry and Marjorie Ball.  She graduated High School in Mukwonago, WI. She met the love of her life, Bruce Chatfield and they were married December 17, 1949.  They lived most of their married life in Oconomowoc until 1979, when they moved to the Mt. Morris area.  In 1996, Iris wanted to live among her family in Cataract, WI so they moved again.

     Iris was well known for her cooking abilities and home making skills.  She always took care of her family and especially her grandchildren.

     She is survived by her children, Sherry Chatfield (Jeff Helgamo) of Watertown, Melody (Larry) Buetow of Waukesha, WI, Holly (Daniel) Holick of Hancock, WI; 9 living grandchildren, Kathleen, Mary, Michael, Jaime, Sarah, Tara, Steve, Jaquelyn, and Hailey; 10 great grandchildren, Dylan, Aaron, Makayla, Ellie, Charlotte, Harrison, Ben, Beau, Cora, and Beckett; her sister, Audrey Hoeksha of Ft. Atkinson; a brother, James Ball of Sparta, WI; nieces and nephews.

     She is preceded in death her husband of 63 years, Bruce Chatfield; her parents, Henry and Marjorie Ball; her father and mother-in-law’s, Clarence and Gertrude Chatfield; sisters-in-law, Arlene Ball, Ruthe chatfield; brothers-in-law, Robert Bartz, Kenneth Hoekstra, Gerald Buchan Sr., and Ronald Chatfield; her grandchild, Lisa Ruhs.

     A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Rev. Randy Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Cataract Cemetery, Cataract.

     Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services. 

     The Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, assisted the family with arrangements.
