James "Jim" A Arnold

James “Jim” A. Arnold, 46, of Sparta died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI.  He was born May 24, 1970 in Sparta to Charles and Glenna (Ricker) Arnold.     

Jim enjoyed playing darts, volleyball, bowling, golf, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns play. He volunteered at Pleasant Ridge Homes. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids.

Jim is survived by his children, TJ (Heather) Arnold; and Matthew Arnold, both of Tomah; his mother, Glenna Arnold, of Sparta; siblings, Leslie Arnold, of Sparta; Angie (Jay) Jensen, of Sparta; Julie (Rob) Athnos, of  West Salem; Lori (John) Kowitz, of Sparta; and Amanda (John) Benzing, of Cataract; step-children, Nichol Huffman, of Sparta; Amara Baker and Austin Baker, both of Black River Falls; grandchildren, Isabell Arnold, Lydia Arnold, and Emmerson Arnold; and 12 nieces and 11 nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Charles Arnold; paternal grandparents, Charles and Elsie Arnold; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Clara Ricker; infant twin nephews, Samuel and Jacob Athnos.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 3, at Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta, with Reverend Jeremiah Cochran officiating.  Burial will follow in the Leon Cemetery, Leon.
