Sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe and I attended Grade School together at Bloomingdale. Butch and I were in the same grade so Joe was couple years older. We had a great time attending school in a small community and growing up in a small town. My deepest Sympathy to the whole family.

My condolences to the Bjerkos family. Joe's uncle Hjalmar and my husband Don Alderman were best buddies. That was an older generation back. Hjalmar died of his WWII injuries. Joe, you served your country as well, and thank you for keeping the faith. God bless and dream sweetly.. Alice Rudrud Alderman

You were a great man who stepped up to take on big responsibilities, for that I always had the utmost respect for you. And you liked to hear me sing at karaoke! You will be missed. Rest easy my friend & fly high with the angels.
