Jeff Schanhofer

Funeral Director / Owner

Jeff Schanhofer, a licensed funeral director, was born and raised in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1995. He attended Viterbo College and received a B.S. in Biology before attending Worsham Mortuary College in Chicago.

Jeff is married to Amy (Zeman) and lives in Sparta. They have a son, Trygve Robert, and a daughter, Myra Amelia. He enjoys golfing and being with friends and family. He is an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoys trips to Wrigley Field.

Jeff is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Sparta Butterfest, Junior Achievement, Sparta Kiwanis, and the Good Citizen Volunteer Organization.

John Schanhofer

Funeral Director Apprentice

John Schanhofer, a  funeral director apprentice, was born and raised in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1995.  He is currently attending DMACC for Funeral Services.

John is married to Lee (Antony), and lives in Sparta. They have a son, Jack Michael, and a daughter, Ellee Grace. He enjoys golfing, spending time with family, friends, and his dog.

John is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sparta, and volunteers with The Sparta Rotary, Good Citizen's, and Sparta Youth Athletics. 

Sarah Button

Funeral Director Apprentice

Sarah Button, a funeral director apprentice, was born and raised in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 2000. She attended Purdue University with an Associates Degree in Human Services.

Sarah is married to Ronald Nerby, and lives in Sparta. They have two sons, Gavyn Reid and Alistar Lennox, and a daughter, Hannah Rose. She enjoys crafting and being with friends, family, and her pets.

Sarah is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sparta, and volunteers with various Animal Rescue Organizations in the area.
