Barbara A. Behning

Barbara A. Behning 82, of Streator, IL and formerly of Sparta, died July 31, 2017. She was born January 29, 1935 to Daniel and Alice Murray in Chicago, IL. Barbara married Donald Behning in 1992. She was an avid reader and loved her flower gardens.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Donald Behning; her children: Gayle Lacey; Beth (Brenden) Keehn; Mark Murphy; and Carol (Rick) Loe; 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and her sister, Kathy (Larry) Mason. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Murphy; her son, Daniel Luhman; a granddaughter, Rhonda Butler; and her parents, Daniel and Alice Murray. 

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sparta, with Fr. Keith Kitzhaber officiating. Online condolences may be offered Barbara’s family at www.schanhoferfh.com.
