Darwin Burdette Culpitt

Darwin B Culpitt, age 81, of Sparta, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Morrow Memorial Home – Nursing Care in Sparta, Wisconsin. He was born February 7, 1937, to Clinton Burdette and Mildred Josephine (Schiller) Culpitt in Sparta, Wisconsin.  He grew up on the family farm and attended Brackett grade school and Sparta High School.

Darwin was united in marriage to Kathleen Marie Thurston on January 6, 1962 in Sparta, Wisconsin. They were divorced on October 19, 1981. Darwin worked on the family farm, Northern Engraving, Pet Milk Company, Dolly Madison, Spartek Inc. and Purolator delivery route.

He is survived by his sons, Randy Darwin (Rhonda) Culpitt;  Robert Dean (Sadie) Culpitt; Russell David (Melissa) Culpitt;  eleven grandchildren,  six  great -grandchildren;  siblings, Diane G Wemmer; Joseph E (Geraldine) Culpitt;  Wanita M (Donald) Cummings-Davis; Karon K Everson; Clinton C (Kathryn) Culpitt; and Stuart D (Peggy) Culpitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son,  Kenneth John Culpitt (March 17, 1964); his sister, Sunny Dawn Culpitt (November 10, 1975); brothers-in-law,  Lindy L Wemmer; Charles O Cummings and Clark J Everson.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2 until 2:45 p.m. A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at Burns Cemetery, Bangor, Wisconsin.
