Dennis L. Rauscher

     Dennis L. Rauscher was born on Wednesday, September 1, 1948, in Parkston, South Dakota. He was the third of four children, born to Ruben and Elfreida Rauscher. Dennis graduated high school in 1968, from Tripp South Dakota. After high school, he attended the University of South Dakota and was an officer in the U.S. Army through the ROTC program. In 1969, he married Susan Haeffner. They went on to have three children and eventually settled in Sparta, Wisconsin. He retired as Chief Operating Officer at VPP Inc., in Norwalk, Wisconsin. Dennis loved riding horse, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He passed away October 22, 2019, at the age of 71.

     Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan; his three children, Marc Rauscher of Cornucopia, Wisconsin, and Anne (Rick) Hansen and Katie (Greg Hansen) Rauscher both of Sparta, Wisconsin; his six grandchildren, Dacia (Bronson) Woodworth, Rachel Hansen, Rorie Marx, Drew Marx, Caden Hansen, Sam Hansen; two step-grandchildren, Brady Hansen and Dylan Hansen; sister, Belva (Jerry) Kavanaugh; six nieces; and two nephews.

     In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his older brother, Don (Angela) Rauscher and his younger sister, Mary (Leo) Scoma.
