Elizabeth D. Berry

Elizabeth D. Berry, 84, of Cataract, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse. She was born on January 31, 1934 to the late Harrison William and Ruby Jean (Abbott) Peters in Little Falls, WI.

Elizabeth attended Stark Valley Grade School. She married Dean Berry on July 21, 1953 in Melrose, WI. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Kenosha, WI and lived there for over 32 years. They moved to Cataract in 1990. Elizabeth worked as a CNA for over 31 years. She loved cooking, collecting and trying new recipes. Above all, she was a very good mother  that loved her kids very much.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Dean Berry; her two children, Robert D. (Judy) Berry; and Eugene Allen Berry; two granddaughters, Sara and Erin;  two siblings, Ethel Hughs; and Fremont Peters. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Beverly Peters and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Harrison and Ruby, she was preceded in death by her son Brian Scott Berry; 11 brothers and sisters; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Rev. Roberta Nowicki officiating. Burial will be at a later time in Cataract Cemetery, Cataract.
