John A. “Hollywood” Harrison, 57, of Sparta, passed away, Friday, June 7, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Sparta.
He was born September 26, 1961, in Charleston, WV. John’s passion in life was helping others; no matter what, he always found a way. He believed in hard work and passed that belief on to his family. John loved his Lord, his family, his Faith Rider Family, his motorcycle; and his BBQ. He loved all genres of music and was always blasting the jams. On September 8, 1990, John married Terri at the Assembly of God Church in Black River Falls; together they were blessed to raise three daughters, Tricia, Ashley, and Brittany.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 29 years, Terri; three daughters, Tricia (Jay) Frye, Ashley Pugh, and Brittany (Cody) Flury; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Jayden, Noah, Nellson, Nalayni, and Harrison; two brothers, Johnny Harrison and Mykle Harrison; one sister, Jennifer (Brian) Buczkowski; step-mother, Margie Harrison; mother-in-law, Shirley Reinart; step-mother-in-law, Elvina Reinart; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his father, John; son-in-law, Nell Pugh; father-in-law, Kenneth Reinart; grandma, Dorothy Krukiel; great-grandparents Vivian and Emory Pyles; and Kenny Reinart.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at New Life Assembly of God, Sparta. Reverend Randy Williamson will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m., until 7 p.m., Tuesday, and from 10 a.m., until the time of service, Wednesday, both at the church. Per John’s wishes in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Angel Fund; a donation collected to pay for children’s school lunches.
