Lois A. Roof

     Lois A. Roof (Quackenbush), age 61 of Sparta, formerly of Warrens passed away January 24th, at Serenity House in Tomah, following a valiant fight with breast cancer. Lois was raised in the Cataract area and attended school in Sparta.

     She married Earl Roof and they settled in the Warrens area. Lois enjoyed the several years she worked as a CNA and spending time with her family, friends, and church family.

     She was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Rose Quackenbush, and brother, Kenneth Quackenbush. 

     She is survived by her children, Steven (Lynn) Roof of Millston, James (Caitlin) Roof of Rhinelander, and Kimberly (Keith) Allen of Camp Douglas, her grandchildren, Thomas Stratton, Hunter and Ryan Lamb, Russell, Owen and Tanner Allen, great grandchildren, Kirihanna and Noah, sister Nancy (Ralph) Lounsdrough of Onalaska, brothers Phillip (Donna) Quackenbush of French Island, Daniel (Carol) Quackenbush of Onalaska and James Quackenbush of Sparta. Many very special friends and relatives also survive Lois.

     A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 31st, at the Sparta VFW, 121 South Rusk Ave, Sparta, WI between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm. Online condolences may be offered at www.schanhoferfh.com
