Lynette Erdman

Lynette L. Erdman, 75, of Viroqua, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. She was born on April 15, 1944 to Otto and Eunice Johnson in Hillsboro, WI.

Lynette grew up in the Hillsboro area and graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1962. Following high school she went to beauty school and then worked for Northern Engraving for many years until she was no longer able to work because of her health. Lynette enjoyed doing crosswords, word searches, puzzles, and loved owls. She was known as "Mom" to all of her children's friends, she would praise them and yell at them as she did her own. She loved all animals and had many cats and dogs over the years.

Lynette is survived by her four children, Susan (Michael) Marquart, of Dodge Center, MN; Donald (Heather Gibney) Erdman, of Sparta; Patrick (Nicki) Erdman, of Norwalk; and Kathy (Paul Sather) Tjerstad, of Black River Falls; her 12 grandchildren, Michael, Avory, Sydney, Grayson,  Alex, Matt, Alicia, Savannah, Marissa, Mataya, Hunter, and Mason. She is further survived by 15 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Lorene Matthews, of Milwaukee and Julie (Rob) Moore, of Des Moines, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Eunice; and a brother, Leslie Lee Johnson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend Robbie Nowicki officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hills Prairie Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Visitation for Lynette will be on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.schahoferfh.com
