Maxine Loeffelholz

Maxine E. Loeffelholz, 72, of West Salem, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Lakeview Healthcare Center, West Salem. She was born February 9, 1945 to the late Ulric O. Sr. and Gertrude (Montague) Leoffelholz in Sparta, WI.

     Maxine worked at the Classic Theater in Sparta. She moved to Milwaukee and worked as a waitress and worked for the Milwaukee License Bureau. She worked as a candy striper at Madison Hospital and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital and Decomet in Sparta. She liked to crochet, ride bikes, play bingo, music and crafts.

     Maxine is survived by her children, Michael and Jennifer; brothers and sisters, Ulric D. Jr. (Katie) Loeffelholz, Sparta; Bernell Loeffelholz, Merrillan; Shirley Ann (Cliff) Gosney, Sparta; Pauline Reese, Riverside, OH; nieces and nephews, Robert (Kathy) Flaig, Dubuque, IA; Michael (Gloria) Flaig, Florida; Thomas Flaig, Milwaukee; James Flaig, Green Bay; and Nancy (Norman) Flaig, Waukesha; Lisa Sanders, Marshfield; Pete (Gracie) Reese, Houston, TX; John Reese, Dayton, OH; Kristie (Paul) Sagehorn, Sparta; Kersten (Mark) Drake, Sparta; Lance Loeffelholz, West Salem; Todd Loeffelholz, Sparta; Julie (Aaron) Schnitzler, Sparta, Sue (Kevin) Cox, Sparta; Dave (Michelle) Loeffelholz, Sparta; and Jennifer (Mark) Johnson, Sparta; a brother-in-law, Darryl Sanders, Camp Douglas and many great nieces and great nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulric O. Sr. and Gertrude; brothers and sisters, Matilda (Robert Sr.) Flaig; George Loeffelholz; Kathleen Loeffelholz, John Loeffelholz, Robert Loeffelholz, and Marie Sanders.

     A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Father Juan Pedro officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Sparta.

     Family and friends are invited to call from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
