Richard "Rick" D. Watzka

     Richard “Rick” D. Watzka, 66, of Sparta, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at a result of an automobile accident. He was born on October 21, 1951 in Rhode Island to Byron and Irma (Glodny) Watzka. He grew up in Connecticut.

     Rick moved to Sparta in the 1970’s. He worked at Sparta Manufacturing until it closed and then Carlisle until he retired in 2013. He loved spending time with his family.

     Rick is survived by his brother, Mark (Corine) Watzka of Pahrump, NV, a niece, Dana (David) Peplinski; nephew, Jerad (Samantha) Esser of Wichita, KS; great nieces and great nephews, Kelsi, Jackson, Walker, Clayton, Sophia, and Michael.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Irma.

     Visitation for Rick will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, September 21, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta. 

     The Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
