Robert “Bob” Snow, 86, of Sparta passed away August 30, 2019. Robert was born 2/1/33 to Harold and Edith (Ebert) Snow in Sparta, WI. He graduated from Sparta Senior High School in 1951. He received the Wisconsin State FFA degree in 1950 and the American FFA degree in 1954. Robert started farming in 1951 and never really retired. Chester White pigs were his first project, but dairy cows were his passion. Robert’s prized cow, Snow-n-Denises Dellia became a well-known Holstein in the dairy cattle world, thanks to Regancrest Farms. Robert played an active part in the lives of his nieces and nephews and their friends. Robert also liked to read westerns and play cards with his dairy buddies, as well as with family. He was a member of the Sparta United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows, and local, state, and national Holstein Associations.
Surviving him are a brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Snow of Sparta; nephews Ryan (Kathleen) Snow, Sparta; Lance (Debra) Snow, Byron, MN; Bradley (Linda) Snow, Sycamore, IL; and niece Mari (Will) Duchaj, Hampshire, IL. Also, great nephews and nieces, Jason Snow, Jilian Foxen, Abbey (Matt) Jeanquart, Adam (Julia) Snow, Derek Snow, Bret Snow; great-great nephews and nieces: Dalton (Becky) Snow, Logan Snow, and Lily Snow, Jacob Foxen, Madelyn and Marissa Jeanquart and Owen & Avery Snow; and great-great-great niece, Brinley Snow, as well as many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, great-niece Becky Snow, great-great nephew, Carter Snow, as well as Aunts and Uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Reverend Roberta Nowicki officiating. Family burial will be in Farmers Valley Cemetery, rural Sparta.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monroe County Junior Dairy Club or the United Methodist Church.
