Tamara “Tam” L. Church, 57, of Sparta, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, Madison, surrounded by her family. She was born July 25, 1961 to Edwin G. and Shirley A. (Wacker) Chambers in Burlington, WI.
At an early age Tam moved to Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School with the class of 1979. Tam worked for Highlight Inc. in Sparta for over 35 years. She enjoyed traveling, cookouts, spending time in Florida and at the family cabin in Castle Rock. Tam loved going to her grandson, Payton’s sporting events. Family was everything to her and she will be missed dearly.
Tam is survived by her daughter, Amanda Church; a grandson, Payton L. Hamilton; siblings, Kim (Ken) Schmidt; Candi (Larry) Brown; Dawn Chambers; and Doug Chambers. She is further survived by her nephews, Nick (RaeAnna) Schmidt; Trevor Schmidt and special friend Maddy; Sawyer Brown; and Spencer Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Shirley Chambers; a nephew, Travis J. Schmidt; and her fiancé, Mike Trones.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, October 1, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta. A Rosary Service will be at 1 p.m. Following the Rosary, everyone is invited to the American Legion in Sparta, to continue Tamara’s celebration of life.
