Theresa L Becker

Theresa L. Becker, 53, of Sparta, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Sparta. She was July 10, 1964 in Tucson, Arizona. She was adopted at an early age by Arthur and Violet (Wakefield) Charles.

Theresa graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting. Following this, she worked as a tax accountant for many years and enjoyed working with all her clients. She was an avid gardener and was very proud of her yard and flowers. Theresa liked baking and making candies around the holidays. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her children: Owen (Sannea) Becker, of Mesa, AZ; Michael Becker, of Elroy; Brian Becker, of Mesa, AZ; Cherrie (Michael) Wright, of Cataract; Kieth (Joelle) Charles, of Sparta; Bernie Becker Jr., of Sparta; Kimberly Becker, of Winona, MN; and Brett Becker, of Sparta. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren; her mother, Violet (Ruben) Guerra, of Benson, AZ; former husband, Bernard Becker Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa is preceded in death by her father, Arthur; a sister, Laurie Batman; and a special friend, Tony Felch.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 2, at the Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Jason Lictao officiating. Attending as honorary Pallbearers will be Theresa’s close family friends, Rob and Mary Gagner. Online condolences may be offered to Theresa’s family at www.schanhoferfh.com.
