Aaron M. Fisher

Aaron M. Fisher, 80, of Sparta, died on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, La Crosse. He was born on January 29, 1944 to Wendell and Lillian (Olson) Fisher in Sparta. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1962.

Aaron worked as a mechanic, truck driver, and farmer his whole life. He retired from Fort McCoy, and lived on a farm in Cataract.

Aaron enjoyed hunting, and socializing with his “one-liners”. He was a motorcycle and snowmobile enthusiast.

Aaron is survived by his brother, Brent (Kathy) Fisher; nephews, Tony (Tiffany Kuchar) Fisher and Troy Fisher; and many other friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Greta Fortier and Paula Klein.

A Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta. Private burial will be in South Beaver Creek Cemetery, at a later date.
