Alma A. Beranek

     Alma Beranek, 77, of Sparta, died Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. She was born May 6, 1942 in Monroe County to Charles and Alma (Werner) Edmison.

     Alma married Donald Endres to whom Donald Jr. and Gary Lee were born. They later divorced and she married Wesley Beranek. Wesley preceded her in death in 2014.

     Alma is survived by her sons, Donald Jr. of New Albin, IA and Gary Lee of Lansing, IA; a grandson, Matt of Lansing, IA; her granddaughter, Jessica of Viroqua; and one great-grandson of Viroqua. She is further survived by her sister, Karen (Dick) Christopherson of Sparta; sister-in-law, Barbara Edmison of Casstown, OH; and many nieces, nephews, and an aunt.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alma; and siblings.

     A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Reverend Mark Kvale officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.
