Angela H. Jensen

Angela H. Jensen, 57, of Winona, MN and formerly of Sparta, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Emplify Health Gundersen in La Crosse. She was born on May 19, 1968 to Charles and Glenna (Ricker) Arnold, in Sparta. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1986.

After graduation, Angela worked at Tomah Care Center, as a CNA. She also worked in housekeeping for Best Nights Inn and Country Inn, in Sparta. She had three children Christina, David, and Ashlee.

Angela met Jay Jensen in 1993. They remained friends until 2005; then were married in 2014. Through this marriage, she gained 3 more children. Jay passed away in 2020.

Angela had a passion for make-up and jewelry. She even sold Mary Kay cosmetics for a while. She enjoyed playing Dart League for many years. She also enjoyed plants, flowers, and photography.

Angela is survived by her children, Christina (Mikel) Johns, David (Dessa) Dunn Jr., Ashlee (Justin) Lewis, Morgan (Justin) Gausmann, Tara (Chris) Lemke, and Kellie Zahrte; grandchildren, Anthony, Adrian, Liam, Aleshia, Isaac, Braydon, Dennis, Derek, Danielle, Charlee, Wesley, Elijah, Aubree, Grace, Leo, Henry, and Jaxon; and siblings, Les (Sandi) Arnold, Julie (Rob) Athnos, Lori (John) Kowitz, and Amanda (John) Benzing; along with many other nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Glenna Arnold; husband, Jay Jensen; brother, Jim Arnold; son-in-law, Shane Zahrte; granddaughter, Paige Lewis; and nephews, Jacob and Samuel Athnos.

A Memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Pastor Don Root officiating. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery.

A Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, and from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered at www.schanhoferfh.com
