Arvilla M. Crocker, 96, of Sparta, passed away peacefully at her home on April 4, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1929, to Cleve and Lillie (Marshal) Van Dyke in Springfield, IL. Arvilla was baptized in Springfield, where she lived for the first four years of her life before returning to the beautiful state of Wisconsin in 1945.
Arvilla was a devoted member of the Methodist Church and participated in the Ruth Circle. She married Kenneth L. Crocker on August 2, 1952, and together they farmed for 30 years. Their marriage was filled with love and dedication until Kenneth's passing on June 2, 2003, after 50 years of marriage.
In addition to farming, Arvilla worked for many years at the Sparta Brush Company and later at Northern Engraving.
Arvilla had a variety of interests and passions. She helped Kenny take care of the Sparta Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing games on the computer, and listening to country music. Above all, Arvilla cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Don) Knoll; her grandchildren, Jennifer Knoll (Bob Slominski), Ryan Knoll (Danielle Beach), Crystal Knoll (Tony Austin), and Kurt Knoll (Megan Mulliken); great-grandchildren, Rianna, Alli, Hunter, Kaitlyn, Luke, Cassidy, Finley, Odin, and Deacon; and step-grandchild, Sydney.
Arvilla was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth, and her son, Keith Crocker. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roger and Eldon Van Dyke, and her sisters, Kathleen Guy (husband, Russell) and Marlene Mantzke (husband, Don).
