Barbara J. Mortier

Barbara J Mortier, 84 of Amelia, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 12th, 2024 at Hospice of Cincinnati. She was born June 20th, 1940 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to Lyle and Veda Jenkins. She was married to Leonard Frank Mortier in 1968 in Rockford, Illinois and raised 4 children: Christina, John, Randy and Steven where she was a machine operator. She then moved to Florida then to Amelia, Ohio. She was a lord of the outdoors, gardening and animals. She also loved to travel and go on adventures with family. She was loved by many and will be forever missed. 

She was preceded in death her sons John and Randy Mortier, brother Tom Jenkins, and sister Sharon Oyer. She was survived by her children Christina Picott and Steven Mortier, brothers Dave Jenkins &(Nancy) and Lyle Jr &(Donna), grandchildren Cassandra Mortier, Kyle Mortier, Stephen Picott, and Cheyenne Hogan, followed by 6 great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces. 

There will be a viewing at Lanham Schanhofer funeral home in Sparta Wisconsin on Sunday November 17th, 2024 at 10am followed by a graveside memorial service on Monday November 18th, 2024 at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Westby, Wisconsin at 11am.
