Barbara J. Roberts

Barbara J. Roberts, of Sparta, passed away at her home, with her sons by her side on February 2, 2025 at the age of 71 years.  She was born to Harold and Darlene Manke and grew up on the family farm on Summit Ridge, Norwalk. 

She worked many years at Northern Engraving in Sparta, and most recently at Pineview Campground, Fort McCoy, a job that she loved.

Barb enjoyed all things in nature, the animals, birds and flowers. She loved camping, and especially spending time at Devils Lake State Park.  Her true passion was her home. She worked tirelessly keeping her yard and flowers beautiful.   

She is survived by her sons, Rick (Danielle) Roberts and Chet Roberts; grandchildren, Jacob, Haley, McKenna and Kendrin; siblings, Kathy Johnson, Steve (Gail) Manke and Sue (John) Flock; brother in law and sister in law, Kenny and Arbutus Roberts; several nephews, 1 niece, and her dog Lucy.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers in law, William Sinclair and Jeff Johnson; and a nephew, Joseph Manke.

No services will be held according to her request.
