Barbara "Barb" J. Werner

Barbara “Barb” J. Werner, 63, of Onalaska, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Sparta. She was born on June 21, 1959 to Samuel and Doris (Hohmann) Briggs.

Barb is survived by former husband, Gerald Werner and their daughters, Amy (Bob) Demorest and Emily (Jeff) Spencer; grandchildren, Hunter and Lilly Morse, Payton, Parker, Everly and Isla Demorest, and Natalie, Jackson, Brynnlea, and Hadley Spencer; siblings, Floyd Briggs, Lynda Irvine, Laurie Ross, and Sue Dresen. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Doris Briggs; and brother, David Briggs.

The family sends special thanks to Dr. Nordstrom and the palliative and hospice care teams at Mayo Clinic for their exceptional and compassionate care.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Faith Evangelical Free Church, in Sparta, with Pastor Brian Young officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
