Beverly J Clark

Beverly Jean (Warthan) Clark, 88, of Sparta, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Morrow Home, Sparta, with family members at her bedside. She was born April 7, 1936 to Tim and Isabelle (Peck) Warthan in Sparta, WI. She was the second of eight children.

She went to Sparta High School. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Morrow Home, and as a seamstress for P and P Products.

She married James Clark. Together they had 3 children: 2 daughters, Diana and Kristine; and one son, Michael.

Bev was very family oriented. She loved spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. She also spent a lot of time with her extended family of several brothers and sisters, Mom and Dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She enjoyed visiting, going out to eat, and loved her country music. She also loved the Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet! She will be missed by all!

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Kristine (Bryan) Richmond; grandson, Victor; granddaughter Nayeli; son-in-law, Tim Arnold; bother, Dennis Warthan; sister, Priscilla (Jeff) Hemmersbach; brother-in-law, Clint Garves; sister-in-law, Fran (Norm)Warthan, Debbie Warthan, and Pat Warthan; adopted Sister Holly Arnold; many, nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Clark; daughter, Diana (Tim) Arnold; son, Mike Clark; granddaughter, Liliana; parents, Tim and Isabelle; mother-in-law, Carmen Mills; brothers, Norman Warthan, Del Warthan, and Jeff Warthan, Ralph Brian Warthan; sister, Brenda Garves; and sisters-in law, Sharon Warthan and Rose Warthan.

The family would like to thank Mayo Hospice and the Morrow Home for her excellent, compassionate care!

Per Bev’s request there will be no Memorial Service, but a Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025; with a luncheon to follow, at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta.
