Bob Drawver Obituary

Bob L. “Dallas” Drawver, 78, of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

He was born November 26, 1941, in Melvina, Wis., to Roy and Thelma Drawver. Bob was a graduate of Cashton High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves and served in the Army National Guard for 27 years. Bob was honored to receive an award directly from Generisamo Chiang Kai-Shek, and Madam Chiang on Quemoy Island in 1962. He was employed as a civilian at Fort McCoy and retired after 33 years. Bob was a proud member of HOG (Harley Owners Group) of Black River Falls and La Crosse Chapters, ABATE of Wisconsin, American Legion Riders, American Legion Post 100 and the VFW Post 2112, all of Sparta, Vietnam Veterans of America, the Masonic Lodge in Sparta, and the ZOR Shriners, ZOR Midgets and Meca Shrine. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, leather crafts, wood projects, and stained glass. He collected guns, toy John Deere tractors, and above all, Harley Davidson memorabilia. The greatest part of Bob’s Life was riding out west with his wife, Lorraine, on their Ultra Classic Harley. Bob and Lorraine were truly soulmates.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wonderful wife of 47 years, Lorraine; daughter, Chris Bensedira; steps-son, Craig Lombard; step-grandson, Connor Lonbard; aunt, Betty Fukuda; cousin, Allan Fukuda; and many other relatives and friends.
