Calvin C Roberts

Calvin C. Roberts, 71, of La Crosse died on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Bethany St. Joe’s in La Crosse. He was born on June 30, 1952 to Gilbert and Eloise (Yahnke) Roberts in La Crosse. He grew up in the Sparta area. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School.

Cal married Barb Manke. Together, they had sons, Richard and Chet. They later divorced. He met Peggy Harwick, and they spent the next 35 years together. They had two children, Kevin and Angela Harwick.

Cal enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, watching NASCAR, and trips to the casino. 

He is survived by his special friend, Peggy Harwick; sons, Chet Roberts, Richard Roberts, and Kevin Harwick; daughter, Angela Harwick; brothers, Kenny (Arbutus) Roberts and Donald (Amie) Roberts; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends, especially John and Barb Molstad.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Chaplain Priscilla Hemmersbach officiating. Burial will be in Printz Creek Cemetery, in Cataract.

Family and friends are invited for a visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
