Candace Sue Hopp

Candace S. Hopp, 71, of Sparta, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Gundersen Boscobel Hospital, Boscobel. She was born on July 9, 1951 to Gene and Shirley (Washaw) Wells in Elgin, IL.

Candace grew up in Carpentersville, IL and attended Dundee High School.  She married Doug Hopp on April 19, 1975 in Dundee, IL. They had one child.

She enjoyed gardening, crafting, playing golf, and traveling.

Candace is survived by her husband, Doug Hopp; son, Eric (Irene) Hopp; brother Glenn Wells; and many relatives, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Shirley Wells.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation in Sparta, with Pastor Roberta Nowicki officiating.
