Carlyle C. Randall

Carlyle C. Randall, 89, of Sparta, died Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. He was born in Angelo, WI to Jean and Mabel (Olson) Randall. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School. He then went to work for his dad who owned a salvage yard.

Carlyle married Marie E. Parsneau on January 21, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sparta, WI.  He went on to own and operate Randall Tire in Sparta and retired in 1991.

Carlyle really enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers play. He enjoyed his hobbies, hunting, taking trips out west hunting, golfing, and playing pumpkin ball softball in his younger years.

Carlyle is survived by his children, Bruce (Janet) Randall, Hollie (Brian) Peth, Mark Randall, and Kim Crocker; grandchildren, Matthew (Adrienne) Randall, Bretton Randall, Ashley Peth, Natalie (Alex) Echeverria, Jessica (Aaron) Kessler, Nicole Randall, Justin (Katie) Randall, Trey Randall, Jessie Randall, and Gabriel Randall; 9 great grandchildren, Ellie, Elijah, Kiyah, Liam, K’Maya, Amara, Carly, Layla, and Jude; siblings, Jerry (Bev) Randall, Pat Heser (the late Ruly Heser), Carol Thorsen (the late Roger Thorsen); and brother-in-law, Warren Kastberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; son, Jeffrey; and sister, Donna Kastberg.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, on July 18, 2024 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Reverend Priscilla Hemmersbach officiating.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on August 10, 2024 at Harris Crossing, Sparta. Full military honors, provided by VFW post 2112 and American Legion Post 100, both of Sparta, will start the celebration at 2 p.m. at Harris Crossing.
