Clifford T. Heimke, 88, of Black River Falls died on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Gundersen Lutheran Health Systems in La Crosse. He was born North of Green Bay, to Theodore and Helen (Vandenlangenberg) Heimke on September 4, 1933; and was raised in Lena.
Clifford graduated from Lena High School. He first met and married Mary Ann O’Conner and they had 2 children, Randall and Ronald. He went on to do steel work in Milwaukee, then relocated to help build the Genoa Nuclear Plant, south of La Crosse. Clifford subsequently married Grace Andringa. He dairy farmed for 9 years north of Sparta and then moved on to drive semi for 35 years until his retirement.
Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. In his later years, he enjoyed golf.
Clifford is survived by his children, Randall (Nancy) Heimke, and Ronald (Jean) Heimke; grandchildren, Jed, Jesse, Bryan, and Marlene (Joshua); and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Connor; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Helen Heimke; sister, Shirley (Roland) Heimke; and brother, Russell Heimke.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
