Curtis C. Vieth, 65, of Sparta, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Curtis was born June 1, 1956 to Wesley and Doris (Schaller) Vieth of Sparta.
He graduated from Sparta High School in 1974. Over the years, Curtis worked at Ray’s Supermarket, Sparta Wal-Mart, Tomah Goodwill, and Fort McCoy. Curtis loved music and learning songs he could play on his guitar. He loved fishing and was an avid sports fan with the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers as his all time favorite sports teams. Curtis grew up with dogs and loved having a dog by his side with the last being Chester who was a devoted companion.
Curtis is survived by his brothers, Richard (Jeanie) Vieth and Brian (Vicki) Vieth; sisters, Carolyn Berry, Laureen (Bill) Calloway, Joanne (Dave Konze) Abbott, LaVonne (Tom) Livangood, and Marcia (Bob) Lundt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss Curt’s great sense of humor.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Maack; brothers, Gilbert Vieth and Joseph Vieth; brother in law, Ralph Maack; sister in law, Mary Vieth; step father, James Vieth; nephew, Ryan Vieth and niece, Nicole Vieth.
A celebration of life for Curtis will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at VFW Post 2112, Sparta. The family kindly requests you wear your Packers, Brewers, and Bucks attire. Online condolences may be offered to Curtis’ family at www.schanhoferfh.com
