Dale A Anderson

Dale A. Anderson, 81, of Sparta passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 28, 1943 to Albert and Ethel (Blinn) Anderson in Sparta. He grew up in Sparta, and graduated from Sparta High School in 1961.

After high school, Dale enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1962; where he proudly served, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He lived in Waukesha, WI for 40 years. He worked as a welder at Alloy Products. When he retired, he moved back to Sparta, where he remained for the last 30 years.

Throughout his life, Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, travelling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. He was especially proud of his yard.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Maryl (John) Salo, of Spring Branch, TX; son, Chad (Angela) Anderson of Elkhorn, WI; grandson, Collin Anderson; sisters, Dixie Olson of Tomah, WI and Rita Huggett (Reuben) Lemke of Sparta, WI; many nieces and nephews; 3 step-grandsons; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and good friend, Jeff Ferris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Chuck Olson and John Huggett; niece, Tami Olson; sister, Faye Woodard; and his best buddy, his dog, Mac.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Sparta American Legion Post 100, 1116 Angelo Rd. in Sparta.
