Darlene Beth Fetters, 87, of Sparta, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Eau Claire. She was born on November 20, 1937, in the Town of Little Falls, WI to Clarence and Ellen (McCray) Parsneau. She grew up on the family farm, in the Cataract area, and moved to Sparta in the 1950’s.
After high school, Darlene graduated, with honors, from the WWTI Administrative Assistant program. She worked at Edwards Insurance and First Insurance Company. Darlene met Henry “Hank” Fetters, and they were married in June of 1983. They moved to Griffith, IN and lived there from 1983-2004; then moved back to Sparta.
Darlene was involved with her church, and her faith was very important to her. With her sweet disposition, she made a lot of church friends over the years. She also loved nature, having grown up in the country. When they were living in Indiana, she and Hank enjoyed riding tandem bicycles together.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Hank Fetters of Sparta; children, Beth (Monte) Stoddard of Cashton, Chris Larsen of Arequipa, Peru, Gwen (Dave) Neve of LaPort, IN, Keri (Dusan) Galic of Dunedin, FL, and Robin (Jim) Filkowski of The Woodlands, TX; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and siblings; Phil (Doris) Parsneau of Helena, MT, Jerry (Kathlyn) Parsneau of Ankeny, IA, and Betty Jane (Carl) Parsneau-Eckelberg of Tomah, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Dan Parsneau, Marie Randall, Tom Parsneau, and Judy Parsneau; grandsons, Jacob Larsen, Phillip Neve; and great-grandson Isaac Larsen.
