David A. Forbush, 82, of Tomah, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the VA Medical Center, Tomah. He was born on June 15, 1942 to Earl and Helen (Kemp) Forbush, in Sparta. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School.
He married Sharon Alexander on April 2, 1961 at Sparta United Methodist Church. Together, they raised 3 children.
David served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1960-1964, and participated in the Cuban Conflict in 1962. He worked as an Inspector III for the WI State Patrol from 1968, until his retirement in 1996.
David enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to camp, and was an avid hunter, and fisherman. He also loved auto racing, and 4-wheeling. His favorite pastime was travelling with his wife, and family.
David is survived by his sons, Ron (Debbie) Forbush and Rob Forbush, of Tomah; daughter, Christine Miller of Kendall; brother, Earl Forbush Jr. of Sparta; sister, Barbara Dawley of Cataract; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; infant brother, Jerry; brother, Richard; and grandson, Mitch.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
