Diana V. Streeton

Diana V. Streeton, 74, of Sparta, died on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born the 3rd of 10 children on March 14, 1947 to Eldon and Harriet (Fish) Dutton.

Diana grew up in Angelo, while attending Sparta High School. After graduating, Diana married her high school sweetheart and had a beautiful son named Tracey Robert Streeton. They would later separate.

Diana worked as a military technician for the Army Reserve. She retired after 30 years. Diana also served in the Army Reserve for 20 years.

Diana was saved at the age of 11 and was baptized in New Lisbon. Her parents were members of Calvary Baptist Church and she attended with them under Pastor Owens, Pastor Sherid and Pastor Cochran. She officially became a member under Pastor Cochran. Diana worked in the church kitchen and nursery as long as she was able.

Diana loved her family and her church family. She loved traveling with her sisters. She liked to read and enjoyed word games. Diana also loved animals, especially cats.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers John Dutton of Rice Lake, Kenneth Dutton of Sparta, Jeff Dutton of Sparta and her sister Barb (Rohn) of Boscobel; nephew Adam Rohn; two sisters-in-law Joann (John) Dutton of Rice Lake, Lena (Joseph) Dutton of Merrill; brother-in-law Ronald Rohn.

Diana is survived by her son Tracey Streeton of Sparta; sister Elda (Gary) Hinch of Tarpon Springs of Florida; brothers Michael (Gail) Dutton of Sparta, Stephen Dutton of Sparta, Joseph of Merrill, Timothy Dutton of Sparta; sister-in-law Vicky of Sparta; two aunts Janet Carrol of Cashton and Ione Fish of Tomah. Diana is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service to be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta (601 W. Montgomery Street). Pastor Mike Ohman to officiate. Memorial visitation to be held before the service, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.

Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation of Sparta is assisting the family with arrangements.
