Donna Rae Zillmer

Donna R. Zillmer, 80, of Cataract, died Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home. She was born on April 17, 1943 to Christ and Cora (Tooley) Mengelt in Sparta. She grew up in Cataract and graduated from Sparta High School.

She married Dennis Zillmer on August 12, 1961 in Cataract. Together, they raised 2 children of their own, and helped to raise their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To her, family was the most important thing in life.

Donna worked at Dadco for many years. She also taught Sunday school. She loved camping. Later in life, she and Dennis traveled all over the country in their RV. She had many interests, from crocheting to NASCAR.

She will be remembered as kind, funny, and wonderfully sassy! We never knew what spicy response she would have.

Donna is survived by her husband, Dennis; children, Dennis T. and Dawn M. Zillmer; grandkids, Elissa (Matt) Mahan, Nicholas Zillmer, Ben Zillmer, Erica (Brian) Hemmersbach, Erin (Randy) Johnson, and John (Brittani) Nevin; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sandra Molster, Beth Luther, Curtis Mengelt, Earl Mengelt, Shirley Mengelt, and Gordon Mengelt.
