Doris G. Suiter

Doris Glee Suiter, 81, of Norwalk, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. She was born on November 7, 1942 to Eric and Violet Piasecke, in Richland County, WI. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1960.

Doris was a long-time resident of West Salem, WI. On May 16, 1998, she married Harvey Suiter, and they enjoyed many years living in an old farmhouse in Barre Mills. At the time of her passing, she was living in Norwalk.

Doris retired from La Crosse County. Since her retirement, Doris enjoyed spending time at her favorite spot, with all of her many friends, in Chetek, WI.

Doris is survived by her husband, Harvey Suiter of Norwalk, WI; brother, Wayne (Beverly) Piasecke of San Bernardino, CA; 2 daughters, Katie (Henry) Vian of Norwalk, WI and Annette (Kelly Huisman) Thompson of Readstown, WI; grandchildren, Brandi Vian, Trevor (Allison) Saley, Shayna (Derek Emery) Miller, Megan Saley, Ashley (Hunter) Conant, Sydney Mueller, and Sam Mueller; great-grandchildren, Brody, Kacie, Maddie, Parker, Oliver, Elliot, Hattie, Roger, and Julia; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, LaVonne (Richard) Williams; brother, Eric (Marge) Piasecke; sister, Arlene (Jerry) Wald; and a special friend, Gene Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Reverend Randy Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Home Cemetery, Norwalk.
