Edith A. Stendahl

Edith A. Stendahl, 70, of Sparta, died Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. She was born on April 16, 1954 in Racine, WI to Norval Greenwold and Esther Stendahl. She grew up in Racine and Sparta. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1972.

Edith attended Western Wisconsin Technical College for computer programming. She then worked at Ft. McCoy. She moved back to Racine when she was 19 and worked in manufacturing. She then came back to Sparta in the early 80’s. She worked at Spartek, Northern Engraving, and Century Foods before going on disability.

She enjoyed playing computer games, helping her neighbors and staying close to home.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Rochelle D. Sullivan of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings, Dean Trones, Norval Greenwold Jr., Eugene Greenwold, and Orville Greenwold; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Mike and Eugene Trones.
