My deepest sympathies to Ed’s family. Ed welcomed me into the woodturning club 16 years ago. We always had fun conversations and he was very proud of his military service to our country. He will be missed and remembered as a very kind man.

Ed was a charter member of the Coulee Woodturners chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. He is fondly remembered by many in the group as a kind soul and a great storyteller.

Edward Holz Family,
I was sad to see this sad happening.  However, how blessed you were to have him for nearly 98 years.  My thoughts and prayers are with you as you make these new adjustments to your lives.

For most of my years in Sparta, Ed and I would share one Saturday a month, attending a woodturners meeting. Riding shotgun, he would help me understand local history as well as sharing his perspective on current events.. He was a wonderful person to be around. Generous too - in summer I'd occasionally find a bag of garden produce sitting by my garage door - from Ed.
I miss him.
