Eleanor E. Jerome

Eleanor Elizabeth (Pfaff) Jerome, 91, of Sparta, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Morrow Home in Sparta. She was born on June 11, 1931 at St. Mary’s Hospital, in Sparta, to Roy and Lillie (Meyer) Pfaff. She grew up in Sparta, and graduated from Sparta High School in 1949.

Eleanor married Raymond Jerome on May 12, 1954 in the Presbyterian Church in Bangor.  They were married for 67 years. She and Ray owned the Mill Pond Bar in Cataract for 13 years.

She enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, and boat rides; especially up north at Birch Point Resort.

Eleanor is survived by her two sons, Michael (Theresa) and Lynn; daughter, Jodi (Bill) Jensen; 3 grandchildren, Christopher of Melrose, Anthony and Jessica of Sparta; and 3 great-grandchildren, Luis, Nova, and Carson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Raymond.

In accordance with Eleanor’s wishes, there will be no services.
