Eleanor Mull Obituary

     Eleanor J. Mull, 95, of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at the Morrow Memorial Home, with her two daughters, Sheila Ladwig and Mary Jackson at her side.

     She was born November 25, 1925 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to John Negard and Emma (Hagen) Negard. She attended all her school years in Black River Falls. She married her husband, Edwin J. Mull, on March 15, 1947. They raised two daughters.

     Eleanor is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Ladwig, Riverside, California and Mary (David) Jackson of Sparta and Mesa, AZ and her “third daughter” and special friend, Lana Muellenberg of Norwalk, Wisconsin. She is survived by her son-in-law, David Jackson. Eleanor is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristina (Michael) Homick and Peter (Mirian Lozano) Ladwig of Riverside, California and Aaron Porter of Studio City, California and Mark Jackson of Middleton, WI. Also survived by her four great-grandchildren, Roselyn (Rose) and Oliver Ladwig, Abigayle (Abi) and Madelynn (Mady) Homick, all of Riverside, California. Also, surviving, are nieces and nephews, Terry, Julie, Jonathan, Jane, Jean and Kristin and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin, her parents and loving brothers, John and Roger and her sisters, Vera and Vergene, and in-laws, Ed and Ella Mull.

     Eleanor was the executive secretary at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy at Fort McCoy, WI. She was working at the academy when the first recruit class started. She was originally hired to work 100 hours to start set-up. She retired in 1988 after 35 years.

     Ed and Eleanor enjoyed many travels to Europe together. They enjoyed visiting the Negard family farm in Norway.

     Eleanor was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sparta and was in Shalom Circle. She was a member of Chapter P, P.E.O. Sisterhood, Sons of Norway, and Exhausted Roosters.

     Eleanor was a wonderful cook and baker. She made many hand made pillows which she gifted to friends. She also enjoyed making quilts.

     Thank you to end-of-life staff at Morrow Memorial Home and the reception staff. Also, to Tomah Hospice.   

     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
