Glenna M. Arnold, 76, of Angelo, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, La Crosse. She was born on May 15, 1947 to Samuel Jr. and Clara (Swann) Ricker, in Greenville, TN. She graduated from Mtn. Home High School in Idaho.
Glenna moved to Wisconsin and met Charles Arnold. They were married on June 4, 1966 at United Congregational Church in Sparta. Glenna worked in the home, raising her family. She was also a reading aid at Calvary Christian Academy. She went on to work at Spartek for over 20 years, until she retired in 2007. Not only did Glenna care for her own children and grandchildren, but she also taught 1st through 3rd grade Sunday school at Calvary Baptist.
Glenna is survived by her children, Leslie Arnold of Tomah, Angela Jensen of Sparta, Julie (Rob) Athnos of West Salem, Lori (John) Kowitz of Cashton, and Amanda (John) Benzing of Cataract; grandchildren, Allyson, Emma, Christina, David Jr., Ashlee, Bret, T.J., Matthew, Malachi, Shanda, Trae, Terry, Carly, Julia, Katy, Ellie, Zechariah, Johannah, Abbie, Devyn, Michael, Luke, Ehren, Nathen, Charles, Gabriel, Alexandria, Francis, and RubyAnne; 30 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel H Ricker & Clara M Ricker; husband, Charles Arnold; son, James Arnold; brother Rex Ricker; grandchildren, Jacob and Samuel Athnos; great-granddaughter, Paige Lewis; and son-in-law, Jay Jensen.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff at Mayo Clinic Health Systems for their care and compassion.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta, with Pastor Michael Ohman officiating. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery, Leon.
Family and friends are invited for a visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 4 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at the church.
