Gregory S Becker

Gregory S. Becker, 61, of Sparta passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1962 to Donald and Esther (Grisen) Becker, in Sparta. He grew up in Sparta, and graduated from Sparta High School in 1981.

Greg married Noreen Harr on June 17, 1983, in Sparta. Together, they had two daughters: Melissa, in 1986, and Nicole, in 1988.

Greg managed Cheesy Pizza Factory, in Sparta. He also owned his own carpentry business, for a time. He loved to make furniture, ride Harleys, hunt deer and bear, and cheer on the Packers and Brewers.

Greg is survived by his wife, Noreen; daughters, Melissa (Blaine) Powers and Nicole (Bryce Powers) Becker; 9 grandchildren, Gabriella, Timothy, Nolan, Ephraim, Conrad, Keaton, Michael, Brayleigh, and Colson; mother, Esther Becker; brother, Mark (Jan) Becker; sister, Pam Corso; and many other aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Donald Becker; maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Julia with Hospice Touch; and Lisa, in Oncology at Gundersen Health Systems.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, with Father Eric Berns officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Sparta.

A Visitation will be held from 5pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the funeral home, and again on Thursday from 10 am until 11 am, at the funeral home.

The family requests casual attire, per Greg’s wishes.
