Harry Boardman died peacefully at the VA Hospital on the Hospice Unit in Tomah, Wisconsin on march 10, 2022. He was 73 years old.
Harry was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He went to high school in Georgetown, Texas, where he played football. He entered the U.S. Marine Corp. at the age of 17. After serving his country, he lived for a short time in California, before returning to his beloved Texas. He worked in the Oil Industry and in Construction during his career before retiring to Junction, Texas with his wife, Judith Ann. He enjoyed living in the peace and quiet of country living. He enjoyed firearms, and was an expert marksman and gunsmith; an avid hunter, and fisherman. He was a proud American. After the death of his beloved wife, Judi, he continued living in Junction until his health began to decline. He then moved to Sparta, Wisconsin to live near family.
He touched many people with his big heart and charm, and had an endearing sense of humor. He never met a stranger. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He loved his family and family was very important to him. He also loved dogs. He had many dogs throughout his lifetime. Most recently Sampson was his companion and little buddy. He will be dearly missed by all.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann of Junction, TX, mother, Barbara Ann Cambell-Boardman of Austin, TX; and brother, James Preston Boardman IV of Austin, TX.
