Jeannette "Nette" A. Edgell-Brueggen

      Jeannette “Nette” A. Edgell-Brueggen, 74, of Sparta, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her home. She was born on December 27, 1946 in Sparta to George and Gladys (Brueggeman) Peters. She grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School.

     Jeannette married Marvin Brueggen in 1965, they later divorced. She married Walter Edgell on August 18, 2005. He passed away in 2012.

     Nette worked at Spartek and retired from Sparta Brush in 2008. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and darts.

     Nette is survived by her children, Kim (Greg) Hoffman of Sparta and Marc (Amy) Brueggen of Sparta; grandchildren, Seth (Tara) Hoffman of Black River Falls, Jeremy (Sarah) Hoffman of Black River Falls, Alissa Hoffman of Sparta, Cody (Stephanie) Brueggen of Whitewater, and Brandon Brueggen of Fish Creek Ridge; Great grandchildren, Kaylee, Reece, Ethan, Layla, Grayson, Ryder, and Cora; mother, Gladys Peters of Sparta; and brother, Steve (Janice) Peters of Sparta.

     She was preceded in death by her father, George; husband, Walter; daughter, Lisa Pfaff; granddaughter, Jessica Hoffman; and brothers, LeRoy and Wayne.

     A celebration of Nette’s life will be held at a later time.

     Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
