Jeannine P. Sanborn

Jeannine Parise Sanborn, 81, of Sparta, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 9, 2024, at Liberty Village, Tomah, with her family by her side. Jeannine was born on June 22, 1942 to Adolphe and Leona Martin, in New Brunswick, Canada.

She was raised and lived in Canada, where she met David in Perth, New Brunswick on a double date, in September 1959.  They married only a few months later on November 17, 1959. They were happily married for 64.5 years.

Jeannine was a loving wife and mother. She was a full-time stay at home mom to: Christine Denise, Kathleen Grace, and Russell Frank. David’s military career moved them several times over the next 20 years to Alabama, the Philippines, Texas, California, German, Illinois, England, and Arkansas.

They moved to Sparta, Wisconsin in 1992 and loved it so much that David retired in Sparta, and it became home.

Jeannine enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Coco. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, bird watching, playing bingo and doing crafts. If you ever stopped at the house there would be a freshly baked treat waiting for you.

She was active in her church, doing what she loved best, helping out in the hospitality and kitchen area.

Jeannine is preceded in death by her father, Adolphe Martin; step-father, David Landriault; mother, Leona Laundriault; brother, Paul Martin; sister-in-law, Nancy Martin; and her loving dog, Coco.

She is survived by her husband, David Sanborn of Sparta; daughter, Christine (Phil) Schreier of Sparta; daughter, Kathleen Sanborn of La Crosse; and son, Russell (Alice) Sanborn of Sparta; grandchildren, Joshua (Gina) Klovstad, Daniel Klovstad (Charlie Higgins), Kirk Collier, Taylor Schreier (Steven Jones), Kyle (Tricia) Collier, Morgan Hardy, Garrett (Megan) Schreier, Johnny Tatzel, and Dakota Sanborn; great grandchildren,  Benjamin Klovstad, Rinoa Fraley, Riley Jones, Xavier Klovstad, Zoe Fraley, Sophia and Olivia Collier, Dante Klovstad, and Landon and Levi Schreier; niece and nephews, Charlotte (Colton) Odonnell, Ryan (Suzie) Martin, Darren (Andrea) Martin, Tylier (Gillian) Martin, and Travis Martin (Mariah Deleavey); and several great nieces and nephews in Canada.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at New Life Assembly of God, with Reverend Randy Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, at the church.
