Judy A. Osborne

Judith “Judy” A. Osborne, 81, of Sparta, died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at her home. She was born on April 9, 1943 to Arthur and Dorothy (Scheidegger) Johnson in Winona, MN. She grew up in Winona, and graduated from Winona High School in 1961. She went on to attend Winona State College, majoring in Business Administration.

Judy married John A. Stow on August 18, 1962 in Winona. Together, they had 2 children. On October 19, 1985, Judy married Ralph E. Osborne Jr. at Lake Tahoe, in Stateline, NV.  They founded The Osborne Law Firm in 1985. There, Judy served as office manager and legal assistant. She also served as President and Secretary for the Wisconsin Women’s Legal Auxiliary. She and her husband retired December 31, 2016 from the law firm.

Judy attended and supported Trinity Lutheran Church in Sparta, and its youth programs. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling to and playing at more than 100 golf courses in the Midwest, and several golf courses in California. She and her husband enjoyed spending a week in Door County for more than 20 years. She enjoyed the birds and wildlife in the woods that partially surrounded her home. She also enjoyed watching game shows, working crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles; challenging her brain. She always looked forward to spending time with her family.

Judy is survived by her husband, Ralph Osborne Jr.; children, Janie (Brad) Lundstrom and Jennifer (Steve) Brandt; grandchildren, Bradley (Kasey) Lundstrom Jr., and Jada Brandt; great-granddaughters, Blake Lundstrom, Rylee Lundstrom, and Parker Lundstrom; step-children, Brian (Emily) Osborne, Stephanie (Steve) Osborne-Westpfahl, and Robert (Nicole) Osborne; and grandchildren, Brayden Osborne, Theron Osborne, and Bailey Osborne.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Scheidegger; father, Arthur Johnson; and brothers, Reid and Ray Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Reverend Josh Buzbee officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

A Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation, Sparta, and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the church.
