Kenny R. Bainter

     Kenny R. Bainter, 63, of Sparta, died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at University Hospital, Madison, WI as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on June 30, 1957 in Germany to Kenneth J. and Dorothy L. (Bullen) Bainter. He grew up in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in 1975. After high school, Kenny served in the US Army for 4 years and the reserves for 17 years. He was stationed in Kentucky.

     Kenny married Holly Burrell on June 5, 1999 in Sparta. He worked as a mechanic at Will’s Auto and retired in April of 2019. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, cutting wood, and spending time with his family. Kenny will be remembered as a man who would give anything he could to help someone. In death, he did the same by being an organ and tissue donor. Kenny will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the recipients to whom he gave hope but will never meet.

     Kenny is survived by his wife, Holly of Sparta; children, Elizabeth (Brad) Lueck of West Salem, Erik (fiancé, Jessica Middleton) Hagen of Sparta, and Trevor Nichols of Sparta; grandchildren, Caitlynn, Carson, Cameron, Evelyn, Mason, Alayna, and Bently; siblings, Donald (Julie) Wesselman of Poplarville, MS, Janice Turnmire of Sparta, Ann (Robert) Hill of Elroy, WI, John (Edie) Bainter of Sparta, Dori Tasker of Sparta, and Jimmy (Candi) Bainter of Sparta; sister-in-law, Myrna Wesselman of Rochester, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy and a brother, William Wesselman.

     In accordance with Kenny’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
